KNAUF Moisture-Resistant Construction
KNAUF Moisture-Resistant Gypsum Board
KNAUF moisture-resistant gypsum board is easily distinguished by its high quality, green paper facing. Its special treatment against bacteria discourages the growth of biological activity caused by humidity, thus avoiding black stains on the surface of the paper. A 90% moisture-resistance is achieved by the water repellant paper facing and the moisture-resistant core formulation. Its surface is ideal for applying paint or tiling.
Fixture Supports
A complete line of fixing frames for wall hung type fixtures, retained within and compatible with Knauf metal stud system used for partitions, facilitates floor cleansing and prevents the development of fungi and bacteria. Special access panels allow for inspection of plumbing facilities.KNAUF moisture-resistant construction pertains all necessary components and compatible materials. Ways of additionally reducing moisture absorption include a special primer application and/or further protection by covering the paper facing of the gypsum boards with an asphalt sealant along with a PVC tape. Tiling, as well as finishing of a joint, can be achieved with compatible adhesives and KNAUF joint compounds.

Fireboards
Fireboards are certified, according to DIN 4102, class A1, non-combustible boards used in assemblies with the highest requirements in fire resistivity. The core of a fireboard contains calcined gypsum and perlite covered with an non-combustible, glass reinforced paper.
KNAUF fire-resistant construction is the ideal solution for building shaft walls to protect electrical and mechanical equipment, fire stop walls, and fire escapes. Additionally, it helps maintain the structural integrity of load bearing materials such as wood and steel. 
X-Ray Protection
KNAUF gypsum boards backed with lead sheets provide protection to X-rays in hospitals and medical labs.
